Position: Asst. Manager – Supply Chain & Logistics

Location: Bopal Ambli Road (Ahmedabad)

Key Requirements:

• Own end-to-end export supply chain and logistics execution from confirmed order/material readiness through vessel sailing and shipment follow-up.
• Coordinate with suppliers/manufacturers for production/material readiness, packing, dispatch schedules, and timely movement to port/CFS.
• Obtain and compare freight quotations; negotiate and coordinate directly with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
• Manage container bookings, equipment availability, vessel schedules, transit time, cut-offs, free days, local charges, and booking confirmations.
• Coordinate with transporters, CHA, CFS/port, stuffing/palletisation, container placement, customs clearance, and gate-in activities.
• Plan shipments across multiple suppliers, customers, ports, and destinations and proactively resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Track shipments through sailing/arrival and manage rollovers, delays, transshipment changes, detention/demurrage, and other exceptions.
• Monitor logistics costs, freight trends, vendor performance, and shipment-wise cost efficiency.
• Maintain shipment planning/MIS, freight comparisons, booking status, and operational trackers.
• Supervise and coordinate the Export Documentation Executive and review critical shipping documents before finalisation.
• Coordinate with Sales, Commercial, Accounts, suppliers, customers, CHA, forwarders, and shipping lines for smooth shipment execution.

Desired Candidate:

• 8 years experience in Export Supply Chain / International Logistics preferably with Chemical Company / International Trading Company.
• Strong knowledge of shipping lines, freight forwarders, CHA, and containerised exports.
• Experience in chemical/merchant exports preferred.
• Strong negotiation, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, MIS, and reporting.
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field.
