Job Description - Assistant Manager
About the team
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, planning, design and warehouse teams, to ensure all inbound operations are running smoothly and are in alignment with the company's supply chain strategies.
Work Location - OFF BLR Embassy Tech Village Business Park
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Collaborate with the Category & Planning team to ensure that inbound inventory arrives as per hourly schedules and DOH targets.
- Work with warehouse and inventory management teams to ensure seamless receiving, inspection, and storage of inbound goods.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inbound operations, including lead time, on-time delivery, truck waiting time, D2S, capacity utilization and cost per shipment.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of inbound operations, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Leverage data and analytics tools to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization within the inbound supply chain.
Issue Resolution
- Proactively identify and resolve issues related to inbound logistics, such as delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies between expected and actual deliveries.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving issues related to inbound transportation and supplier performance.
- Work with third-party logistics providers and other external partners to resolve operational challenges.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within inbound logistics to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions for inbound transportation and inventory management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to optimize inbound operations.
