Job Description

Roles And Responsibilities - Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with business goals
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers for cost, quality, and delivery
  • Handle RFQ/RFP processes, commercial negotiations, and cost finalization
  • Drive cost reduction through value engineering and alternate sourcing
  • Analyze BOM cost and support product cost optimization
  • Manage supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness)
  • Establish long-term agreements and rate contracts with key suppliers
  • Ensure timely PR to PO conversion and procurement efficiency
  • Coordinate with planning, production, quality, and engineering teams
  • Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity for all customers
  • Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supplier capacity
  • Develop localization strategies to reduce dependency on imports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and customer-specific requirements
  • Support audits and maintain sourcing documentation and records
  • Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and supplier development
