Supervise end‑to‑end store operations including receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of all engineering spares, consumables, fuels, and critical equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory records through ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Maximo or similar).
Ensure timely inspection of incoming materials, documentation accuracy, and compliance with quality norms.
Monitor stock levels, safety stocks, reorder points, and highlight shortages proactively to avoid plant downtime.
Ensure efficient material handling, warehouse layout planning, and adherence to FIFO/FEFO and preservation guidelines.
Support annual budgeting, stock valuation, and inventory audits (internal and statutory).
Coordinate with Procurement, Maintenance, Operations, Finance, and Quality teams for material planning and issue resolution.
Implement and monitor safety protocols within the store premises as per power plant standards.
Drive continuous improvement in stores processes, cost optimization, and digitalization initiatives.
Lead, train, and supervise store staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and service.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or
Graduation with specialized training in materials management (e.g., diploma in SCM, stores, or logistics)
