Assistant Manager- Stores & Spares

Your Remit

Order Management & Administration

  • Manage the complete order lifecycle, including order receipt, change order management, and timely shipment.
  • Troubleshoot bottlenecks and problem areas, providing practical and timely solutions.
  • Proactively review and improve existing procedures to eliminate loopholes.
  • Allocate resources based on order booking forecasts for optimal utilisation.
  • Collaborate with function heads to enhance team coordination and productivity.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders to replenish inventory as needed.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to inventory, shipping delays, or supplier concerns.

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee receipt of incoming materials, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of finished products to customers, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Organise warehouse layout for efficient space utilisation.
  • Implement and maintain safety and security protocols, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.
  • Utilise inventory management software to track inventory and generate reports.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for warehouse operations and drive continuous improvement.

Leadership & Compliance

  • Assign Key Result Areas (KRAs) for team leads aligned with organisational goals.
  • Build and nurture leadership capabilities within the department.
  • Ensure teams remain focused, positive, and motivated.
  • Monitor compliance with the Code of Conduct and company policies.
  • Lead world-area level initiatives and participate in global forums for strategy development.

Your Profile

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics

An MBA in International Business / SCM would be an added advantage.

10 + years experience in supply chain logistics, preferably in a complex global manufacturing environment. With at least four years in a leadership role

Good knowledge of English in word and writing

Efficient in MS Office

High level of customer orientation, resilience, and teamwork
