Assistant Manager- Stores & Spares
Your Remit
Order Management & Administration
- Manage the complete order lifecycle, including order receipt, change order management, and timely shipment.
- Troubleshoot bottlenecks and problem areas, providing practical and timely solutions.
- Proactively review and improve existing procedures to eliminate loopholes.
- Allocate resources based on order booking forecasts for optimal utilisation.
- Collaborate with function heads to enhance team coordination and productivity.
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders to replenish inventory as needed.
- Resolve discrepancies related to inventory, shipping delays, or supplier concerns.
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee receipt of incoming materials, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders.
- Coordinate the dispatch of finished products to customers, ensuring timely delivery.
- Organise warehouse layout for efficient space utilisation.
- Implement and maintain safety and security protocols, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.
- Utilise inventory management software to track inventory and generate reports.
- Develop and implement SOPs for warehouse operations and drive continuous improvement.
Leadership & Compliance
- Assign Key Result Areas (KRAs) for team leads aligned with organisational goals.
- Build and nurture leadership capabilities within the department.
- Ensure teams remain focused, positive, and motivated.
- Monitor compliance with the Code of Conduct and company policies.
- Lead world-area level initiatives and participate in global forums for strategy development.
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
An MBA in International Business / SCM would be an added advantage.
10 + years experience in supply chain logistics, preferably in a complex global manufacturing environment. With at least four years in a leadership role
Good knowledge of English in word and writing
Efficient in MS Office
High level of customer orientation, resilience, and teamwork
