Role Overview:
This role is responsible for end-to-end financial controllership, inventory Management, MIS
reporting, and maintenance of B2B books of accounts. The candidate will ensure accuracy,
compliance, and actionable financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Controllership
• Oversee complete books of accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Liaise with auditors (internal & statutory) and manage audit requirements
• Strengthen internal controls and financial processes
2. Inventory Management & Control
• Monitor inventory valuation (FIFO / Weighted Average / Batch-wise)
• Ensure accurate stock accounting and reconciliation between physical and system stock
• Track GRN, stock transfers, and inventory adjustments
• Analyze slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory
• Work closely with operations and supply chain teams
3. MIS & Reporting
• Prepare periodic MIS reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
• Develop dashboards for revenue, cost, margins (Booking GM, Design GM, Install GM, etc.)
• Variance analysis vs budget and prior periods
• Support management with actionable insights and data-driven decisions
• Automate reports using Excel / ERP / BI tools
4. B2B Books Maintenance
• Maintain customer/vendor ledgers and ensure timely reconciliations
• Handle invoicing, collections tracking, and payable management
• Ensure proper accounting of inter-company transactions
• Monitor receivables aging and follow up for collections
• Handle debit notes, credit notes, and contract-based billing
5. Compliance & Process Improvement
• Ensure GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance
• Identify process gaps and implement automation/efficiency improvements
• Work on ERP systems (e.g., ERPNext, SAP, Oracle, etc.) for data accuracy
• Support SOP creation and documentation
Key Skills Required:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Expertise in inventory accounting and reconciliation
• Advanced Excel (Pivot, XLOOKUP, Power Query preferred)
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably ERPNext)
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and process-oriented approach
Qualifications:
• CA
• 3–8 years of relevant experience (depending on role level)
• Experience in B2B / Manufacturing / EPC / Inventory-heavy business preferred
Good to Have:
• Experience in dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Knowledge of SQL / data extraction
• Exposure to automation and process optimization
