Job Title

PF Mines Operations - Geology

Job Purpose

To plan, monitor, and control annual, monthly, and daily mine planning & scheduling to ensure uninterrupted supply of limestone, clay, and laterite of right quality and quantity to meet plant requirements.
The role is responsible for deposit evaluation, reserve estimation, blend optimisation, statutory compliance, and daily royalty management, while implementing prospecting schemes, geological investigations, and ensuring compliance with MCDR 2017 (Rule 55) and other applicable statutory requirements.

  • Geological variability across limestone, clay, and laterite deposits requiring continuous quality monitoring and dynamic blend planning
  • Supporting two operating plants with strict quality parameters
  • Balancing production targets, quality constraints, statutory compliance, and long-term resource sustainability

Major Challenges

  • Simultaneous control of SO, Cl, Fe, and LSF due to high lateral and horizontal variation in deposit quality
  • Managing statutory timelines, royalty reconciliation, and audits without operational impact
  • Ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability while increasing productivity

KRA1ROM Quality managementCollect samples from Mines on daily Basis ,make a blend plan and provide to shift engineer for making pile. Assist shift incharge for machine deployment in maintaining shift quality average.
KRA2Mine DevelopmentIdentify & Explore new areas for Mining with the help of Datamine software as per approved Mining Plan. Modification in existing Mining Plan if required as per quality requirement. Reserve analysis & suggesting areas for land capturing/purchase for future mining.
KRA3Resource optimization & Reserve estimationCompilation of data on daily basis. Update reserve figure, grade wise at the end of every year. Execute core drilling, carry out investigation, feed the data in software, prepare block model and calculate deposite reserves.
KRA4Compliance under statutory requirementsCollect & compile data for filing of returns/forms, self-assessment as per guidelines of GPCB, MoEF, IBM and CGM. Submit online & offline monthly and annual returns in compliance to MCDR, MCR, GMMCR Collect & compile data for submission of Self-Assessment for limestone mines on IBM Website for 5 Star rating. Ensure the updation of in-house compliance manager
KRA5Operation of WeighbridgeEnsure that SSP and Printer cartridge avalilable in stock for smooth operation. Preparying a Roster for all DEO's. Coordinate all DEO's in every shift for issuing royalty pass as per actual weighment. Keeping daily track of Royalty - actual vs Booked.
KRA6Mining Lease and Statutory PermissionsCollect & compile data for Mining Plans & Mining Scheme along with progressive Mine Closure Plans preparation. Submission of compliances wrt mining plan/scheme of mining & progressive mine closure plans. Ensure that statutory payments like Surface rent, dead rent, advance royalty, District Mineral Fund (DMF), National Mineral Exploration Trust are made.
KRA7SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiativesEnsuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations related to their concerned area.
- Educating team about I know my job, I know the hazards associated with my job and I applied control measures & I escalate to my senior among manpower deployed in sections/department manpower including peer, WB & CL manpower
- Timely conducting scheduled SO round and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in the area of concern in system.
- To conduct daily Tool Box Talk as schedule and before start the job any critical job along with SWP
- Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event
- Ensure good housekeeping, limited use of power, no leakage of water, oil, air etc and reporting concerned if any abnormalities for corrective action
- Adhering of all safety precautions on the site and off the site
- Replicating good practice for saving environment for long run sustainability and creating awareness among manpower to save guard natural resources.
KRA8System Management
(Effective implementation of all IMS and other systems requirements through involvement for continuous improvement in plant working condition & quality standards)
To implement improvement project to reduce repetitive problems/breakdown or losses.
Timely submission of Kaizen, OPL, Good to fine, suggestion on system
Developing and sustaining Model area in respective sections
100% active participation in respective KFA & GRT meetings and giving inputs related to bring new technology, innovation and improvements towards productivity. Conduct awareness programmes down the level team
To know about IMS and other systems requirement and documents for Non-Conformity in section during internal and external audits or assessments.
Implementation of critical spares & consumable SOP without any defilement
Identify & arrange rectification of leakage points/unsafe points along with monitor & take corrective action for emission levels.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology / Applied Geology / Mining Geology from a recognized university.
  • PostGraduate Degree (M.Sc.) in Geology / Applied Geology - Preferred.
  • Certification or training in Mine Planning / Geostatistics / Geological Software (Datamine, Surpac, etc.) will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in Limestone / Cement Grade Raw Material Mines, preferably in a large mechanized captive mine setup.
