Position Overview:

About the position:

The Campus Office is responsible for planning, designing, and executing infrastructure development projects across the campus. It focuses on the long-term growth and enhancement of the University's built environment. The office oversees new construction, renovations, and restoration projects while ensuring alignment with the University's vision and sustainability goals. It also collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure efficient planning and development of campus facilities.

CEPT University invites applications for the positions of Assistant Manager / Senior Executive (Campus Development), Campus Office. We are looking for experienced and proactive professionals with strong building construction expertise to support, manage, and oversee campus development and infrastructure projects. The role involves planning, supervision, execution, coordination, and monitoring of civil and infrastructure works, ensuring timely and quality execution within budget while ensuring quality, cost control, and timely completion.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage campus development, building construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects across the campus, ensuring timely and quality execution.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, internal departments, and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
  • Review construction drawings and ensure execution as per approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Prepare BOQs and technical specifications, and support tendering and contractor selection processes.
  • Supervise site execution and monitor project timelines, quality control, and site safety compliance.
  • Verify measurements and assist in certification of contractor bills.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and construction safety standards.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost control for campus development works.
  • Plan and execute work with minimal disruption to academic and administrative activities.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

[1] Assistant Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory
  • Master's in Project / Construction Management is preferable

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in building construction and campus infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in exposed RCC and brickwork construction.
  • Experience in handling projects from design stage to completion and handover.
  • Experience in execution and coordination of MEP services.
  • Experience in construction planning; institutional or large campus projects will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project/Primavera, and AutoCAD.

[2] Senior Executive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
  • Master's in Project / Construction Management is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in building construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in exposed RCC structures, finishing works, and coordination of MEP services.
  • Experience in construction planning; institutional or large campus projects will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Expertise required

  • Strong project management, coordination, and site management skills.
  • Good understanding of civil works, MEP services, infrastructure, and building construction practices, including quality assurance standards.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines.
