Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara for an Assistant Manager / Senior Electrical Design Engineer. The role involves designing and developing high voltage and high current transformer bushings and related components in line with international standards and customer specifications. The individual will prepare detailed electrical designs, calculations, and technical drawings, and support prototype development, testing, and validation. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, quality, and sales, providing technical support for customer inquiries, and contributing to customized and retrofit solutions. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, improving design processes, ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements, and mentoring junior engineers as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electrical power systems, high voltage engineering, and transformer design principles.
• Proficiency in electrical design calculations, insulation coordination, and selection of materials for high voltage applications.
• Experience with CAD/CAE tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for electrical and mechanical design of components.
• Knowledge of relevant IEC/IEEE standards and regulations related to transformer bushings and power equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and test reports, and prepare clear technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of high voltage equipment is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and global customers.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Prior experience in transformer manufacturing, bushings, or power transmission equipment design will be an advantage.
