Role Overview -
The Assistant Manager Search (Google) will spearhead the planning, execution, optimization, and reporting of Google Search campaigns across Auburn's client portfolio. The role is deeply performance-oriented, requiring exceptional expertise in Google Ads, sharp analytical ability, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Campaign Planning & Execution
- Develop well-structured Google Search strategies tailored to client objectives (lead gen, e-commerce, awareness).
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research, audience mapping, and competitor benchmarking.
- Build and manage Search campaigns, ad groups, ad copies, and extensions.
- Implement conversion tracking through Google Tag Manager (GTM) and GA4.
2. Performance Optimization
- Monitor campaign performance daily and optimize for CTR, CPC, CPA, conversions, and ROAS.
- Utilize data-led insights to refine bidding strategies and improve quality scores.
- Execute A/B tests for ads, keywords, and landing page pathways.
- Ensure correct budget pacing and campaign hygiene at all times.
3. Analytics, Insights & Reporting
- Build insightful performance reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly) with clear recommendations.
- Use GA4, Looker Studio, and internal dashboards to identify trends and opportunities.
- Provide strategic inputs to clients and internal teams to improve results.
4. Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with the Creative, Social, and Account Management teams for smoother execution.
- Align with the Manager Search on targets, projections, and campaign roadmaps.
- Participate in client meetings to present performance updates and strategic recommendations.
5. Tools & Platforms
- Google Ads (Search Campaigns, Brand campaigns, selective PMax support)
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- Google Tag Manager
- Looker Studio
- Keyword research tools: Keyword Planner, SEMrush / Ahrefs (preferred)
Desired Skill Set & Experience
Technical Expertise
- 24 years of hands-on experience managing Google Search campaigns (agency experience preferred).
- Strong command over campaign structure, optimization logic, attribution, and measurement models.
- Experience with event tracking, conversion funnels, and performance metrics on GA4.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and logical thinking ability.
- High ownership, accountability, and performance-first mindset.
- Excellent communication skills for client and internal interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines efficiently.
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Media, or related field.
- Google Ads Certification is a plus.
