AM Sales (Cable/ Conductor/ Manufacturing)

Position Summary

Drive Sales & Business Development for Power Cable business by developing relationships with utilities, EPCs, renewable energy developers, and key accounts, generating new business opportunities, securing orders, supporting project execution, and ensuring timely collections.

The role is primarily focused on market development, customer engagement, commercial negotiations, account management, and revenue growth.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

This is primarily a Sales & Business Development role for Power Cables (HV/EHV) focused on:

• Generating business from Utilities, EPCs, and Renewable Energy customers
• Developing key accounts and customer relationships
• Driving order inflow and revenue growth
• Market intelligence and competitor tracking
• Techno-commercial discussions and negotiations
• Order booking and O2C (Order-to-Cash) management
• Payment collection and stakeholder coordination
• Identifying new product/business opportunities (Solar Cables, HV/EHV Cables, etc.)
• Managing customer engagements across Eastern India
  
  

Critical Success Factors - Essential

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical & civil
• Professional with over 5+ years of in sales & BD, specifically with cable, conductor, or Metal industry

Sterlite Electric Limited (formerly known as Sterlite Power Transmission Limited) is a

manufacturer of capital goods and a provider of system integration solutions,

specializing in the power transmission and distribution (Power T&D) industry for both

domestic and international markets. Its product portfolio includes a wide range of

overhead conductors, power cables, optical ground wire (OPGW), along with the

provision of master system integration (MSI) services.

The company supplied products and services to customers in over 70 countries including

North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia from April 1,

2022, to March 31, 2025. It currently operates four manufacturing facilities strategically

located across India, positioned near key raw material sources and major transportation

hubs, including seaports. Facilities in Jharsuguda (Odisha), Piparia and Rakholi (Dadra

and Nagar Haveli) specialize in overhead conductor manufacturing. The Haridwar

(Uttarakhand) facility is dedicated to power cables, while the Piparia facility also

manufactures OPGW. Sterlite Electric is also in the process of setting up a new power

cable manufacturing facility in Vadodara (Gujarat)
