Position Title: Assistant Manager - Sales & Business Development

Department: Sales and Business Development

Industry: Lift and Elevator Installation, Maintenance, and Servicing

Location: Bangalore / Any

Reporting To: Senior Manager - Sales & BD

Purpose Of The Role

To assist in achieving sales targets and expanding market presence by building relationships with clients, generating leads, and supporting the execution of the sales and business development strategy in the lift industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities by prospecting potential customers in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
  • Support in preparing proposals, quotations, and tenders in coordination with the technical team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, consultants, and developers.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
  • Follow up on leads and inquiries, converting them into successful contracts or projects.
  • Assist in negotiating terms and conditions with clients to close sales deals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team for promotional campaigns and events.
  • Provide regular updates to the Senior Manager on sales performance, pipeline status, and customer feedback.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards in all customer interactions.
  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on product knowledge and market developments.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • MBA in Marketing or Sales (preferred).

Experience

  • 3–8 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the lift or related industry.

  • Number of new leads generated and converted into sales.
  • Quality and success rate of follow-ups and customer meetings.
  • Revenue Contribution:
  • Achievement of individual sales targets as assigned by the Senior Manager.

  • Market Penetration:
  • Expansion of customer base in assigned regions or sectors.
  • Identification of untapped markets and successful entry strategies.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
  • Positive feedback from clients on engagement, responsiveness, and service quality.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key accounts.
  • Sales Support Efficiency:
  • Timely and accurate preparation of proposals, tenders, and quotations.
  • Effective coordination with internal teams to meet client requirements.

  • Coordinating with the marketing, operations, and technical teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Preparing and presenting weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Tracking and analyzing sales performance against targets.

  • Ensuring all sales activities adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Promoting ethical practices in client engagement and deal negotiations.
