SagaciousElevate is hiring an experienced and driven Assistant Manager Engineering Searching to lead high-impact IP research projects and manage a team of patent professionals. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a client-centric mindset to deliver insightful patent analysis and support strategic IP decisions for global clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and lead complex patent research projects including Invalidation, Freedom-to-Operate (FTO), and Patentability searches, technology landscapes, white space analyses, and competitor monitoring.
- Analyse and summarize findings to deliver high-quality, insight-driven reports that support strategic IP decisions.
- Collaborate with global clients to define project scope, clarify objectives, and ensure alignment with expectations.
- Perform legal, technical, and commercial evaluation of patent portfolios to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage a team of 810 IP professionals by overseeing task allocation, productivity, quality assurance, and performance management.
- Develop training content and mentor team members to build technical and analytical capabilities.
- Contribute to business development through client relationship management and identification of new service opportunities.
- Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives to promote best practices, tools, and process improvements within the team.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to maintain high service standards and innovation.
Experience
- 69 years of experience in IP research and consulting.
- Demonstrated experience in project delivery, team management, and client handling.
- Prior experience in leading medium to large-sized teams (8-10 members).
- Strong exposure to patent search, analysis, and landscape projects.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Electronics, Electrical, or Industrial Production
