Assistant Manager - Safety

Roles and responsibilities

1.Conduct Daily BOS. Highlight keep observation with Site Safety SPOC. Observe behavior of person working at floor and give them Feedback through OFS Card.

2. Asses the risk before the start of the work.

3. Verify MHE Checklist filled by Operators. Find out misses/major observation if any. Ensure MHE is safe for use before using for operation.

4.Conduct Safety Induction Training for new joinee. Conduct DC Tour and provide awareness on all safety expects to new joinee before he start to perform his role at floor.

5. Conduct safety survey during shift. Ensure all procedures are safe and followed as per standard SWP documents. Identify any gaps/violations and inform Site Safety SPOC immediately.

6.Ensure all emergency exists are known to the working personnel & emergency exists are kept free from obstacles for easy access. Working personnel should aware on process to be followed during emergency.

7.Conduct Building-design related inspection and identify all unsafe condition/structural issues and highlight the same to Site Safety SPOC immediately. Ensure Building design should be safe to work at all the times.

8.With the help of the maintenance team, all the checkpoints as per the checksheet should be adhered to by the safety SPOC at the particular shift for both start-up and shutdown of site.

9.Visit Docks, Bins and Aisles and identify if any Damaged pallets are used for storage of stocks. Segregate such damaged pallets and store them at dedicated area. Intimate Site Safety owner or safety supervisor to arrange replacement of Damaged pallets.Pallet management Sop files need to follow for Hire and Dehire pallets in DC .

10.Conduct BOS at Rack area to upkeep racks as per standards. Identify dents or damages which can be potential danger, capture the observations and highlight the same to Site Safety SPOC.

11. Pallets should be managed safely during picking/deposit at Rack/Bins. Block the damaged Bin/Racks and barricade them with display to avoid further use.

12.Visit Docks, Bins and Aisles, Office Area, Security Cabin Transporter's Room, External periphery, Parking area and ensure 5's should followed at all areas. Give feedback to working personnel to follow 5's standards all the times.

13. Monitor the temperature norms as per given standard and in case of deviation escalate the same to QA team. The same is analyzed / filled and forwarded to the concerned on monthly basis.

14. Participate in Tool Box/Shift Handover meeting. Share feedback on any Safety alerts, Near miss, Hazard, Near Miss etc.
