Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Quality is responsible for implementing and sustaining robust quality systems at the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality benchmarks. The role will drive process excellence, strengthen quality culture on the shop floor, and support continuous improvement initiatives to deliver safe, high-quality products to customers.

Role Name – Assistant Manager- Quality

Report To - Chief Manufacturing Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain QMS aligned with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO/FSSC, and internal quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.
  • Lead internal/external audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
  • Monitor process quality, analyze quality data, and drive CAPA and improvement initiatives.
  • Handle customer complaints with effective root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Train plant teams on GMP, hygiene, and food safety practices.
  • Prepare periodic quality performance reports for plant and corporate leadership.

Key Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in food technology, Microbiology, Engineering, or related field. Masters preferred.
  • 6–12 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, audits, and process quality management.
