Job Description
Comprehensive Quality Inspection:
- Conduct detailed inspections of finished jewellery pieces, identifying any defects in design, stone setting, polish, and overall craftsmanship.
- Verify the authenticity and quality of gemstones and precious metals using specialized tools and established gemological techniques.
- Ensure all products strictly adhere to company and industry standards for weight, dimensions, and purity.
- Perform random sampling and batch testing to ensure consistent quality across all product lines.
Process Improvement and Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the production and design teams to communicate findings, address recurring quality issues, and find effective resolutions.
- Proactively recommend and help implement process improvements to enhance overall product quality and minimize the need for rework.
- Act as a key quality checkpoint in the sourcing and production lifecycle, ensuring standards are maintained from the outset.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Diligently document all inspection results, creating and maintaining accurate and organized quality control records.
- Ensure all quality control activities and products are in full compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards.

Person Profile
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2+ years of direct experience in jewellery quality control or a hands-on inspection role.
- Proficiency with standard jewellery inspection tools, including but not limited to magnifiers, calipers, gauges, scales, and spectrometers.
- Exceptional manual dexterity and strong visual acuity.
- Effective communication and reporting skills, with the ability to articulate quality issues clearly.
- A self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A professional diploma or certification in Gemology (e.g., from GIA, IGI), Jewellery Design, or a related field is highly preferred.
