Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to manage domestic and import procurement activities while ensuring timely availability of materials. The role requires strong SAP knowledge, expertise in import documentation, vendor management, and procurement reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement of raw materials, consumables, spares, and other operational requirements.
  • Handle end-to-end import procurement, including documentation and coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
  • Generate and analyze procurement reports, MIS, and inventory reports through SAP.
  • Float enquiries, evaluate quotations, negotiate with vendors, and finalize purchase orders.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships while ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for procurement planning and material availability.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory requirements.
  • Support vendor evaluation and performance monitoring.

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate in any discipline (MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Materials Management will be an added advantage).

Experience

  • Around 4-8 years of experience in Procurement/Purchase.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP is mandatory.
  • Sound knowledge of Import Procurement and Import Documentation.
