Role Summary
To manage and coordinate procurement activities of multidisciplinary requirements for Gamlaa Bioscapes Pune factory. This role ensures timely sourcing, cost-effective procurement, and strong supplier relationships, supporting the company's production and project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure composite materials, fibre reinforced plastics, glass fibre reinforced concrete, composite materials, metal fabrication, and carpentry supplies as per engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for technical materials and fabrication services, ensuring compliance with technical drawings and project requirements.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors to secure favorable terms and ensure on-time delivery.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, conduct supplier audits, and monitor supplier performance against KPIs and contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align procurement with business and project needs.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize procurement strategies.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, maintain procurement documentation, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Expedite deliveries, resolve supply chain bottlenecks, and ensure smooth workflow from procurement to payment.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and contracts in ERP systems and provide regular procurement reports.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and reduce lead times.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, or related field) or Procurement/Supply Chain Management.
- 24 years of experience in procurement, preferably in composites, fabrication, or multidisciplinary manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), MS Excel, and procurement tools.
- Knowledge of composite materials, fabrication processes, and relevant quality standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
