Emerson Automations Solutions MEA is inviting Applications for the position of Project Manager for it's Flow Control Valves Business Unit to be stationed at FCEC Chennai.
The Project Manager should be capable of supporting large and medium size projects with Control Valves destined for mainly Oil & Gas , Petrochemicals ,Power , Metals & Mining industries . The candidate should be able to support the customer facing Project Manager in MEA during the complete execution cycle of the project, including techno commercial support during project pursuit phase.The Project Manager in MEA has the overall responsibility and authority for the implementation and execution of Customer projects as per the FCV PMO process.
This includes having a complete understanding of the project scope (technical & commercial) and requirements and having shared ownership for timely approvals, timely delivery, profitability, price uplift and final hand off. The Project Manager has shared responsibility for developing the Project Plan and is responsible to the Customer, the Contractor, Impact Partners or Regional Sales Office and the Company for overall success and execution of the project.
This job is based in FCEC, Chennai India and will be participating in projects in Emerson MEA and in other offices in Emerson as needed.
Coordinate and support several KOB1 - large, highly complex, and multi-national projects during pursuit and execution phases with a PM in MEA taking the lead and own KOB2 projects (medium complex projects).
Participate and support in the negotiation of the initial scope of the project, change orders, progress payments, understand commercial terms and conditions and all additions or expansions to the project with the Customer, Impact Partners/Regional Sales Office and Global Industry Sales personnel.
Conduct close-out meetings with customers, EPCs once the execution is completed.
Recognise and accept HSE Roles & Responsibilities as defined in Emerson's Company Procedures.
Travel: Will be required based on project demands. Travel will be required to customer offices, end user sites, EPC engineering offices, sub vendors, various FCV factories.
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering
Experience in Control Valves field preferred.
Experience in Upstream oil & Gas
Valid PMP Certification or equivalent is preferred.
4 to 7 years experience in customer facing Project Management role, Inside Sales, &
Application Engineering in industrial valves business environment / field measuring instruments / Metering integrators / OEMs in Measurement & Flow metering. Valves business includes automated & engineered pipeline valves, control valves, safety relief valves. Customers serviced to include End Users / EPC Contractors in process industries (eg: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical & refining & Power).
Good listening skills and relationship-building
Good presentation and digital capabilities (MS Office, Power BI)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage ambiguities, Planning & Aligning, Collaborating with different teams, Courage in decisions.
