Maruti Suzuki India Limited subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation to produce automobiles in India, has completed construction of the Plant C, and started production from April 2021. Maruti Suzuki India Limited Gujarat plant was established in March 2014, aiming to secure production ability in preparation for the automobile market growth in India, as well as for expansion of exports from India. Plant A started operating in February 2017, and Plant B and Powertrain Plant in January 2019. In October 2020, MSIL GJ became the fastest production site of Suzuki to achieve accumulated automobile production of 1 million units.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Projects related to new model/ new plant/ Modifications in the Facilities in the Responsible Area assigned.
- Managing the project activity in a timely manner and adhere to Project Timeline.
- Accountable for timely completion of activities with Safety and Quality deliverables.
- Experience to Equipment Planning, Design, Installation & Commissioning of Equipment in Automotive industry Preferrable from Assembly Shop.
- Experience in working with Electrical Control system of Equipment.
- Experience with Mitsubishi PLC, GOT, Servo Systems, Programming Knowledge is essential.
- Knowledge in Electrical drawing checking & Design Validation Basic Working Experience & Knowledge in Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Mechanical Systems.
- Basic working Knowledge in AutoCAD.
- Basic Working Knowledge in 3D (NX) is preferred.
- Create RFQ documents, conceptualization of layout, design of JIGs and fixtures and DAP of the machines.
- Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques to reduce production costs, minimize waste, and improve overall production flow.
- Track project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and proactively implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Work cross-functionally with design, quality, and operations teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability of new products or product modifications.
- Maintain clear and detailed records of design changes, processes, and improvements.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management as needed.
- Provide input and technical support to engineering and related functions.
- Must be have adequate knowledge of the Engineering Change Notification implementation process.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, such as the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Must be familiar with ANDON, PIKA PIKA, VTS and CLW concept.
- Candidate from Production Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Maintenance background will be considered.
- Candidates from Purely Production Background may not be considered.
Qualifications
- Preferred Age bracket: 28 36
- Academic Background: B. Tech (Electrical / Electronics)
- Experience: 4 to 6 Years
