Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Manager - Product Development to drive innovation in electrical switches. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for researching, designing, prototyping, and testing new products to meet market demands and industry standards. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with engineering, production, quality control, and sales teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Research & Ideation: Analyze market trends, identify new product opportunities, and generate innovative concepts.
  • Design & Development: Assist in defining specifications, creating prototypes, and refining product designs.
  • Testing & Validation: Ensure rigorous product testing in coordination with the quality control team.
  • Project Management: Oversee product development timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure cost-effective execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams for seamless product launches.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain development records and report project progress to senior leadership.

Skills Required

  • Experience in electrical switch product development.
  • Strong knowledge of design, prototyping, and testing.
  • Familiarity with polycarbonate materials in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in CAD/design tools (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) is an added advantage.

QUALIFICATION:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
