Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven Area / Zonal Manager – Sales to lead and scale insurance sales operations across Pune and nearby regions. The role involves managing a multi-layered team structure, driving regional strategy, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Area Managers / Team Leaders, and indirectly oversee large field sales teams
- Drive regional performance to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business goals
- Conduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and skip-level meetings
- Ensure strong execution of sales plans across multiple territories
- Monitor and optimize field sales productivity and efficiency
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Analyze performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, IRDAI regulations, and audit standards
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in insurance sales
- At least 3–5 years of experience managing Area Managers / Team Leaders
- Proven experience handling multi-layered / zonal sales structures
- Strong understanding of the Pune and Maharashtra insurance market
Mandatory Requirements
- Proficiency in Marathi (spoken and written)
- Strong experience in General Insurance Sales
- Experience in managing large, geographically spread field teams
