Position Overview

Assistant Manager – MFS OTC Regulatory Reporting (Chennai) – The role leads a team that delivers daily OTC‑derivatives regulatory reporting (EMIR, ASIC, MAS, SFTR) to the DTCC repository. He/She ensures all trade, valuation and collateral data are submitted on time, drives reconciliation, monitors key risk & performance indicators, and acts as the first‑level escalation point for BAU issues. The Assistant Manager also manages people‑performance cycles, work‑allocation and stakeholder coordination with on‑shore/off‑shore teams, account managers and senior leadership.


Job Responsibilitie

  • sSubmit all OTC trades, valuations and collateral to the DTCC repository in accordance with regulatory timelines
  • .Review, correct and resubmit every NACK/rejection; achieve zero reporting rejections on T+1
  • .Reconcile DTCC positions with client positions daily to confirm alignment
  • .Prepare and publish monthly KRIs/KPIs, maintaining Green RAG status
  • .Own the group inbox; monitor and meet TAT for email responses
  • .Escalate exceptions to the appropriate processing team and track resolution
  • .Log and report exceptions per internal controls and client‑specific requirements
  • .Conduct/attend regular meetings with team members, internal and external stakeholders
  • .Hold quarterly one‑on‑one performance discussions and oversee annual appraisal inputs
  • .Ensure the daily checklist is signed off by all team members and shared promptly
  • .Act as SME and escalation point for internal and external queries
  • .Keep SOPs and Global portal procedures up‑to‑date; log incidents in the BIRDIE portal and drive closure
  • .Review, sign‑off and circulate all MIS reports (daily‑weekly‑monthly‑quarterly‑annual) and follow up on stakeholder queries

  • e)Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related fiel
  • d.Proven experience in derivative operations; solid understanding of all OTC product classes and related regulatory requirements (EMIR, MAS, ASIC, SFTR
  • ).Regulatory Reporting – Hands‑on experience reporting to DTCC (or similar trade repository) and handling NACK/rejection cycle
  • s.People Management – Demonstrated ability to allocate work, coach team members and conduct performance appraisal
  • s.Analytical & Detail Orientation – Strong analytical mindset, high accuracy in reconciliations and KPI/KRI preparatio
  • n.Technical Proficiency – Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data validation) and strong overall Microsoft Office skill
  • s.Communication – Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of presenting complex information clearly to senior stakeholder
