Network Operations & Support - Firewall & Load Balancer

Experience: 6-8 Years

Location: Chennai/Bangalore

Role Summary:

The Assistant Manager BPN & Firewall is responsible for leading and delivering secure, large-scale banking and enterprise network security solutions. The role requires deep technical expertise in next-generation firewalls and accountability for IT solution delivery in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver network security solutions for large-scale banking infrastructure projects
  • Act as technical lead for Network Firewalls and Security platforms such as FortiGate and Cisco
  • Design, implement, and support Firewall, IDS/IPS, Load Balancers, Routers, F5, and Network Proxies
  • Provide hands-on expertise on Software Defined Networking technologies including VMware NSX
  • Ensure Security Hardening and Compliance validation of Next Generation Firewalls
  • Support automation and scripting activities using shell scripting
  • Coordinate across multiple technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Drive issue resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive actions

Key Skills & Technology Requirements:

  • Network Firewalls: FortiGate, Cisco ASA / Firepower
  • Security Technologies: IDS/IPS, VPN, NAT, ACLs, Network Segmentation
  • Load Balancing: F5 (LTM, GTM basic exposure)
  • Routing & Switching fundamentals (enterprise environments)
  • Software Defined Networking: VMware NSX (DFW, logical switching & routing)

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience in banking or enterprise infrastructure projects
  • Strong expertise in Network Firewalls & Security products (FortiGate, Cisco)
  • Hands-on experience in Firewall, IDS/IPS, Load Balancers, Routers, F5, Network Proxies
  • Good exposure to Software Defined Networks (NSX)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • High degree of integrity and professional ethics

Other Qualification and requirement:

Any degree or relevant education is must. This role requires working at customer locations based on business needs.
