Job Summary
The Microwave Deployment lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering microwave transmission links used in telecom networks (2G/3G/4G/5G). The role ensures that microwave backhaul/fronthaul deployments are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end microwave deployment projects (survey, design, installation, integration, and acceptance)
- Develop deployment schedules, rollout plans, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with Circle customer RF, transmission, site acquisition teams
- Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables
- Oversee microwave link design (frequency planning, path analysis, capacity planning)
- Ensure compliance with network design standards and KPIs
- Support integration and commissioning of microwave equipment
- Manage OEMs, system integrators, and subcontractors
- Ensure quality of installation and adherence to SLAs
- Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards
- Conduct or oversee FAT, SAT, and PAT activities
- Provide regular progress and performance reports to management
- Communicate with internal teams, customers, and external authorities
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of microwave transmission (PDH, SDH, IP, Ethernet)
- Experience with microwave vendors (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Aviat, Ceragon)
- Familiarity with network rollout tools and project tracking systems
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites and tight deadlines
