Assistant Manager M&A Tax (Bengaluru)

Compensation: 1517 LPA + performance incentives

Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid)

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience: 23 years (Post-CA, preferably Big 4)

What Youll Do

  • Drive M&A transactions end-to-end: mergers, acquisitions, demergers, divestitures, buybacks, succession planning, and integrations.
  • Decode laws and regulations (Tax, FEMA, SEBI, Company Law, Stamp Duty) and turn them into practical client solutions.
  • Create and deliver impactful presentations, valuations, and due diligence reports.
  • Work directly with clients, counsels, and partners on high-stakes assignments.
  • Spot opportunities to add value and build relationships.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and grow into a future leader.


Who Were Looking For

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 23 years post-qualification experience.
  • Must have worked in a Big 4 (M&A Tax / Transaction Advisory team).
  • Confident in Income-tax Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, Company Law, Stamp Duty.
  • Strong with numbers + strategy, not just compliance.
  • Comfortable speaking with clients and simplifying complexity.
  • Hungry to grow faster than the typical corporate ladder allows.
