Job Description

About the Role

We are hiring an Assistant Manager – Client Management to take full ownership of retainer client accounts across marketing, automation, and growth initiatives. This is not a coordination role. We are looking for someone who thinks strategically, executes campaigns with precision, and proactively drives account growth.

You will be the primary point of contact for assigned clients — responsible for retention, performance, and continuous upsell. If you thrive in a fast-paced agency environment and love seeing your work translate into real business outcomes for clients, this role is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

Client Ownership and Relationship Management

  1. Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all assigned retainer clients
  2. Build trust-led relationships with marketing leads and senior business stakeholders
  3. Lead weekly and monthly review calls with structured performance narratives
  4. Manage client expectations, handle escalations, and ensure long-term engagement and satisfaction

Campaign Planning and Execution

  1. Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns across social media, email marketing, and paid channels (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn)
  2. Translate client objectives into detailed marketing plans and content calendars
  3. Ensure timely delivery of all campaign assets across channels and approval cycles
  4. Manage multiple campaign streams simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines

HubSpot and Marketing Automation

  1. Own HubSpot setup and optimisation for clients — workflows, email journeys, lead scoring, and CRM hygiene
  2. Build automation journeys mapped to customer lifecycle stages (awareness to nurture to conversion to retention)
  3. Ensure proper tracking, attribution, and structured reporting within HubSpot
  4. Identify and resolve automation gaps; implement best practices for data quality

Content, Design and Ideation

  1. Drive content strategy aligned to client goals across engagement, lead generation, and audience nurturing
  2. Collaborate with internal content and design teams to deliver social media content, emailers, landing pages, and ad creatives
  3. Write clear, detailed creative briefs and review output for quality and brand alignment

Performance Optimisation

  1. Monitor campaign performance across all channels on an ongoing basis
  2. Identify gaps and implement optimisation strategies to improve CTR, CPL, and conversion rates
  3. Run structured experiments including A/B tests, new ad formats, and updated audience targeting

Reporting and Insights

  1. Prepare and present monthly performance reports that go beyond data — providing clear narrative insights and actionable recommendations
  2. Connect marketing metrics to business outcomes including leads generated, pipeline contribution, and revenue impact
  3. Proactively recommend next-step strategies and new growth initiatives to clients

Upselling and Account Growth

  1. Identify opportunities to expand scope — new campaigns, additional platforms, or deeper automation
  2. Pitch additional services confidently and drive revenue growth within existing accounts
  3. Collaborate with internal sales and leadership to support closures and new scope discussions

Who We Are Looking For

  1. 3 to 5 years of experience in client servicing or account management within a digital marketing agency
  2. Strong working knowledge of performance marketing, content marketing, and marketing automation
  3. Hands-on experience with HubSpot — workflows, lead scoring, CRM management (experience with Marketo or ActiveCampaign is a plus)
  4. Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and concurrent projects without losing quality
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills — comfortable owning client-facing conversations
  6. Data-driven mindset with the ability to connect campaign metrics to business results
  7. Collaborative team player who can work effectively with content, design, and performance teams

How Performance will be Measured

  1. Account Delivery — Delivery time and quality (60%)
  2. Client CSAT — CSAT Score (15%)
  3. New Initiatives — Campaigns, content, social, automation (25%)

What's in It for You

  1. Real account ownership with direct visibility into client outcomes
  2. Work across a diverse portfolio of retainer clients spanning multiple industries
  3. Collaborative, high-performance team culture that values speed, creativity, and results
  4. Clear growth path into Senior Account Manager and Strategy roles
  5. Competitive compensation benchmarked to experience and market standards
