Assistant Manager / Manager- NPD Supply Planning (Personal Care and Cosmetics)
About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Assistant Manager -Supply Planning to join
our Supply Chain team within the Personal Care & Cosmetics industry. This critical role is
responsible for ensuring the seamless launch and sustained availability of all new products by
managing the end-to-end supply chain planning process, from concept to commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the supply planning for all new product launches, promotions, and
reformulations across all product categories (e.g., Skincare, Makeup, Haircare).
Collaborate NPD team to gather launch requirements, assess risks, and finalize launch
volumes and timelines.
Develop and maintain the master launch schedule and ensure all supply chain
milestones are met on time and in full.
Create and manage initial launch purchase orders (POs) for raw materials,
components, and finished goods, coordinating with suppliers and internal
manufacturing sites.
Manage the demand forecast for the initial launch phase and transition planning for
subsequent replenishment.
Conduct capacity analysis for both internal and external manufacturing sites to ensure
readiness for new product volumes.
Establish target safety stock and inventory levels for NPD components and finished
goods post-launch, optimizing for service level while minimizing obsolescence.
Identify and mitigate potential supply risks (e.g., material delays, quality issues) that
could impact launch dates.
- Systems and Process Improvement
Utilize ERP/Planning systems (e.g., SAP) to manage NPD planning data, including
bill of materials (BOMs), lead times, and inventory parameters.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline the NPD
supply planning process, reducing time-to-market and increasing forecasting
accuracy.
Generate and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and launch readiness reports
to senior management.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, or Production
Planning, with a significant focus preferably within the Personal Care, Cosmetics, or
FMCG industry.
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-
driven decisions.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) & advance excel
Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Deep understanding of the end-to-end product life cycle and planning processes.
