Job Description
The Middle Office Assistant Manager/Manager is supporting the commodity trade business segment, in monitoring the transactional flow of documents according to approved credit conditions. The officer also performs documentary checking of the trade and supporting documents.
Job Responsibilities
Initiate and send trade requests for approval/noting. Manage a portfolio of commodity trade borrowers. Handle LCs including Back-to-Back (BBLC), Front-to-Back (FBLC), LC against export collection sand LC against open-account sale transactions Matching/transfer required documents, monitoring of rejection and/or acceptance of both Import and Export settlements Co-ordinate and control the switching of Bills of Lading within the approvals per the AA and transaction request. Give instruction to Operation teams to utilize the export proceeds to settle the related import LC/financing, if applicable. Oversee the transactional requests and document handling/settlement within the SLA Close co- operation with BU teams, CI teams and FIG teams Liaise with customer for the transaction outcome Preparation of control reports (regular and ad-hoc basis) under Commodity Trade accounts. Preparation of trade finance transaction conduct (TFU) review including operation team input for submission upon request. Perform Price Checks for Commodity Trade Accounts Perform transaction price/currency risk with MTM valuation Follow up for any shortfall from MTM valuation according to credit/SPI/product paper Assist in cash collateral collection and releasing with regards to the transaction handling. Check all LC documents for compliance

Job Requirements
- Degree in a related field preferably (Banking, Business, Finance, Economics and related fields) 2. Minimum 5 years in Trade Finance operations /and 2-3 years in Commodity trade finance middle office. 3. Strong analytical and communication skills, demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple internal and external parties including customers to handle daily transaction request and handling 4. A team player with a positive attitude, professionalism and a strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics 5. Ability to identify trade finance patterns or connections between situations that are not obviously related and to identify key or underlying trade red flag issues in complex transaction situations 6. Participate in trade finance related project/initiatives (product, operation change and system implementation) 7. Strong Knowledge in latest UCP/ISP98 and ISPB version will be a advantage.
