Job Summary: This career opportunity is within our EB & NON EB practice under Sales. This is an exciting, growth-enabling position that will support the domain leadership team deliver growth and scale. The role holder is expected to be an established producer of broking business with leadership capability of mentoring a sales team. The role holder will be a key partner in driving the business strategy and work with various leaders across the insurance business.
Essential Qualifications & Capabilities:
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in the insurance industry.
• MBA/Post Graduation (Preferably in Insurance)
• Qualified Brokers exam of IRDAI.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of business development in EB & NON EB practice.
• Leadership skills to mentor and grow team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Work Profile:
• Help the team to create a funnel for business and convert opportunities.
• Researching and identifying sales opportunities, generating leads, and target identification.
• Identifying & analysing the risk portfolio of potential corporates as a pre-sales activity.
• Risk analysis of their insurance portfolio and creating opportunities for Torque participation in the risk placement.
• Reaching out to new customers and making presentations or pitches outlining the benefits of products/services
• Balancing the optimum product mix by promoting sales of all lines of business (cross sell)
• Understanding the client requirements and then customising the product/services as per their needs.
• Maintaining relationships with all potential and existing clients.
• Creating a database of potential corporate clients.
• Responsible for implementing business processes and controls as laid down by internal company guidelines.
• To adhere to business processes and controls as laid down by Torque and ensure strict compliance of regulations as laid down by IRDA.
• Ensuring that the IRDA (Insurance Brokers) Regulations, 2013 are adhered to in their respective areas/regions.
