Role Description The Assistant Manager Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities for machinery, tools, and equipment at the Patiala facility in an on-site, full-time capacity. This role includes planning and scheduling preventive maintenance, supervising maintenance technicians, and ensuring timely repair and upkeep of equipment to minimize downtime. The Assistant Manager Maintenance will monitor maintenance workflows, maintain documentation of maintenance activities, and coordinate with production and operations teams to prioritize tasks. The role also involves implementing maintenance standards and safety procedures, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting continuous enhancement of maintenance practices and asset reliability.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including the ability to lead maintenance teams and coordinate day-to-day activities.
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair for industrial machinery and tools.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution to reduce breakdowns.
- Knowledge of maintenance management processes, including record-keeping, reporting, and use of maintenance systems or software.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Understanding of safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in industrial maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; prior experience in a supervisory maintenance role is an advantage.
