Job Description

Job Summary:
The candidate will be responsible for deploying, managing, monitoring, and optimizing antivirus systems across the enterprise while ensuring compliance with security policies and standards. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge of antivirus technologies, threat detection, and remediation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for antivirus solutions, endpoint security, and malware protection.
  • Design, implement, and maintain antivirus solutions across enterprise endpoints, servers, and cloud environments.
  • Monitor antivirus systems, analyse alerts, and ensure timely response to threats.
  • Conduct malware analysis, threat investigations, and coordinate incident response with the Security Operations Center.
  • Develop and enforce antivirus policies, standards, and best practices in line with organizational security frameworks.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and ensure endpoints are compliant with security patches and updates.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate antivirus solutions with other security tools, such as SIEM, EDR, and endpoint management systems.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to IT and security teams.
  • Keep abreast of latest malware trends, vulnerabilities, and antivirus product updates to recommend improvements.
  • Generate reports on antivirus health, compliance, and threat metrics for management review.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Expertise in antivirus and endpoint security solutions (e.g., SEQRITE, Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, CrowdStrike, Sophos, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of malware types, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise antivirus deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS) and server environments.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls).
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools is a plus.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and present technical insights to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific antivirus certifications are preferred.
