Job Description

Elevate is looking for an individual working as an Assistant Manager and is expected to have a thorough technical understanding since their work would be presented to Chief IP Counsels, Patent Attorneys, Inventors, Patent Engineers, etc. The candidate should have good command over English language, since the candidate is expected to be able to handle projects end to end independently.

Specifically, the Assistant Manager will

  • Performance and comprehensiveness of various patent searches
  • Efficiency in conducting comprehensive searches of technical and patent information using online database and other information resources.
  • Analysis and summarization of search results
  • Providing insightful evaluation and analysis of results
  • Preparing final reports and deliverables as per required standards
  • Delivering timely, value-added patent search reports.
  • Communicating effectively with clients in determining the scope of research and draft informative reports/deliverables that clarify and summarize search results.
  • Conducting long-term patent landscape studies to identify trends in a technology field, delivering competitive intelligence and identifying potential research and licensing opportunities.
  • Performing qualitative analysis of patents and patent portfolios from a legal, technical and business perspective and advising clients on the commercial aspects of intellectual property and technology rights.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered and completed by the set deadlines.
  • Conducting knowledge sharing sessions on IPR, Excel Features etc.
  • Providing support in business development activities. Managing key client accounts and building new clients.
  • Responsible for overall productivity, utilization and quality of output of the team.
  • Responsible for resource planning, hiring and thought leadership for the group
  • Develop training modules and impart training to the team members.
  • Performance management of the team members.
  • Keeping a track of competitors strategy in terms of following best practices, structuring, client contacts, etc.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in infringement searches and claim charts/EOU.
  • Must have experience of team handling (at least 3 persons preferred).

Skills for Success

  • Excellent technical writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Technical Skills

  • Core Electronics and Telecommunication concepts.
  • Wireless and Telecommunication Standards
  • Cellular Standards
  • Wi-Fi 5/6/7

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech (Electronics & Communication, Telecommunication and equivalent).
