Assistant Manager – Human Resources

Location: Mumbai (On-site)

Experience: 0 to 1 year

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: INR 15-20k CTC per month

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – HR to support and drive core human resource functions. This role involves managing end-to-end HR operations, ensuring smooth employee lifecycle management, and contributing to a positive and high-performance work culture. The ideal candidate should be capable of balancing operational efficiency with employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment including sourcing, screening, coordination, and onboarding.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and exit processes ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Handle HR operations such as payroll coordination, attendance, leave management, and compliance.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries and grievance resolution.
  • Support performance management processes including appraisals and feedback cycles.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership on HR strategies and organizational development.

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Management, or related field.
  • 0–1 year of relevant HR experience.
  • Strong understanding of HR operations and recruitment processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Good-to-Have:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced or startup environment.
  • Exposure to HRMS tools and payroll systems.
  • Experience in performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Basic understanding of HR analytics and reporting.
  • Certification in HR or related domains.
  • Good knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
