Position - Assistant Manager HSSE
- HSSE In charge for Hyderabad LPG Bottling plant with Capacity of 48 MT, Bottling capacity of 400 MT/Year. LPG operation volume of 52081 MT/Year (Cylinder Truck dispatch of Avg. 9360 Nos/year, bulk truck loading of Avg. 2160 Nos/year)
- Capex Project : 8150 KINR per year
- Matrix working with Plant Manager, 1 Asst. Maintenance, 3 Operation Executives, 3 operators, 10 Contract workers & 10 securities.
Coordination of HSSE issues with LPG division SPOC & Corporate HSSE Team:

Activities:
Execute all HSSE and operational activities in alignment with TotalEnergies policies, procedures, and One MAESTRO management system, ensuring compliance with legal, statutory, and company requirements.
HSSE & Security:
- Deploy and continually improve HSSE processes through audits, site visits, and reviews (Target: 12 plant inspections, 12 PPE audits, 12 PTW audits, 4 CMMS audits, 12 CCTV checks annually).
- Integrate HSSE requirements into plant operations and implement the Technical Integrity Program.
- Maintain and update Emergency Response Plans; conduct 12 mock drills and 1 crisis management exercise annually.
- Develop mutual aid schemes with neighboring industries.
- Implement security controls per Group rules; monitor gate control procedures and reporting.
- Promote a strong safety culture through near-miss reporting (Target: minimum 2 anomalies/month in REXIT tool), Safety+ practices, Golden Rules awareness, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure contractor management per ICC standards (Target: 100% ICC deployment and minimum 1 internal audit for high-risk contractors annually).
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure zero incidents, zero quality complaints, and timely renewal of statutory approvals.
- Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and critical task analysis (Target: 100% closure of actions from audits and risk assessments).
- Drive Management of Change (MOC) and technical integrity processes (Target: 100% closure of MOC actions).
- Manage hazardous chemicals and achieve agreed waste recycling rate; report Scope 1 & Scope 2 emissions.
- To support on TIM, One MAESTRO and management system
Audits & Reporting
- Complete monthly HSSE reporting in Ramses/One Synergilife and annual environmental reporting in HARPE.
- Conduct 12 Safety Committee meetings and 4 Co-REX committee meetings annually.
- Review MAESTRO self-assessments and ensure timely closure of actions.
- Complete societal assessment(SOCRAT) & stakeholder (SRM+) program, check and report closure of actions.
Training & Awareness
- Organize HSSE training programs and awareness campaigns (Target: minimum 6 trainings per month and 100% HSSE induction compliance).
- Conduct 12 mock drills annually and ensure emergency preparedness.
- Deliver Safety and Sustainability moments in HSSE-related meetings.
Digital Tools & Continuous Improvement
- Deploy HSSE digital tools (E-STL, IZI, MOC software, REXIT, MS Forms, Power Apps).
Support lean management initiatives for operational efficiency and cost optimization.
Context and environment:
The incumbent takes ownership for managing assigned operational areas and environments, proactively addressing constraints with guidance from the department head. The role operates within a high-risk environment, characterized by:
High safety exposure related to occupational health and safety ; Limited market awareness regarding safety and security practices ; Challenges in sourcing competent contractors and skilled personnel ; Variable performance and competence among local road transport providers.The incumbent must demonstrate adaptability in navigating operational challenges while ensuring strict compliance with TotalEnergies standards and industry best practices.
Accountabilities:
The incumbent is responsible for delivering position objectives within agreed timelines, ensuring defined KPIs, continuous improvement, safety culture, training, HSE compliance Key accountabilities include: Promoting and sustaining a positive safety culture ;Tracking and monitoring HSSE KPIs to drive continual improvement ; Completing monthly HSSE reporting in Ramses and annual environmental reporting in HARPE ; Raising workforce awareness on safe practices and reporting non-compliance ;Zero Accident ; Analyzing and ensuring timely action on suggestions, incidents, near misses, and audit findings ;Supporting high-risk contractors in implementing the ICC system ; Deploying HSSE digital tools such as E-STL, IZI, MOC software, REXIT, MS Forms, Power Apps, and others.
Qualifications/Experience required:
- Engineering Graduate (4yrs course).
- Additional qualification in Industrial safety is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3-4 year of hands-on experience in relevant plant operation Strong knowledge of HSE standards and policies, Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in Microsoft Office applications.
