Job Description

About Porter

At Porter, we're on a mission to move a billion dreams by building the most trusted, efficient, and seamless logistics platform in India. We started in 2014 with a simple vision — to transform intra-city logistics through technology. Today, Porter is a late-stage startup, serving millions of users across 21+ cities, backed by marquee investors like Tiger Global, Lightrock, and Sequoia.

We solve real-world problems — from empowering micro-entrepreneurs and truck owners, to optimizing last-mile delivery for SMEs and enterprises. Every challenge we take on has real consequences and real impact.

With a sharp focus on user obsession, ownership, and collaboration, we're building a workplace where people thrive when they take bold bets, move fast, and build with empathy.

If you're looking to work where scale meets purpose, complexity fuels learning, and culture isn't an afterthought, Porter is the place.

Role Context

This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role sitting at the centre of Porter's People & Culture function. The Program Manager will work directly with the Director - P&C to operationalize org-wide people initiatives - such as pulse surveys, performance initiatives, engagement programs, and leadership reporting. Think of this person as the engine behind P&C execution.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Program Management

  • Own end-to-end planning, tracking, and closure of cross-functional people programs (engagement, L&D, HRBP, internal comms)
  • Build and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and governance frameworks
  • Create MRM and MBR decks — collate data, synthesize insights, and prepare leadership-ready reports
  • Track action items and decisions across review cycles; follow up with stakeholders proactively

Data, Metrics & Reporting

  • Track and analyze people metrics — attrition, performance, engagement scores — on a regular cadence
  • Convert raw data into actionable insights and visualizations for P&C leadership
  • Build dashboards and reporting templates that bring visibility to program health and risks
  • Manage pulse survey execution — from design and distribution to collation and insight sharing

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the central coordination point across HRBPs, COEs, and business leaders
  • Unblock execution by flagging risks early and driving alignment across teams
  • Manage internal communications around people programs — timelines, updates, rollout plans

Problem-Solving & Ad Hoc Priorities

  • Step in on unplanned priorities with speed and structure
  • Build processes and templates where none exist — bring structure to ambiguity

Background & Education

  • MBA / PGDM (HR, Strategy, or General Management) — Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute preferred
  • Undergrad in any discipline; engineering + MBA profiles welcome
  • 2-3 years of experience in consulting, HR, strategy, or program management is a strong differentiator
