E‑Commerce & Marketplace Performance Executive

JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions
Role Purpose
The E‑Commerce resource will be responsible for driving revenue growth, marketplace expansion, operational efficiency, and category performance across online channels. The role focuses on data‑driven performance management, strong coordination with marketing, supply chain, and logistics teams, and continuous optimization of marketplace profitability.
Key Responsibilities (Mapped to Proposed KPIs)
1. Revenue Growth & Regional Performance
- Track month‑on‑month (MoM) and year‑to‑date (YTD) growth across regions and marketplaces.
- Analyze regional performance trends and identify growth opportunities or gaps.
- Prepare periodic performance reports and insights for leadership review.
2. Marketplace Expansion
- Support onboarding of new marketplaces (domestic and international, as applicable).
- Coordinate with internal teams for catalogue setup, compliance, pricing, and launch readiness.
- Monitor performance of newly onboarded platforms against defined benchmarks.
3. Category & Product Performance
- Own performance tracking of key product categories including sales, margins, conversion, and returns.
- Identify high‑performing and underperforming SKUs and recommend corrective actions.
- Work with sourcing, pricing, and marketing teams to optimize category contribution.
4. Cost Optimization & Profitability
- Analyze and drive reduction in logistics costs, returns, and marketplace fees.
- Identify cost leakage areas such as excess penalties, inefficient shipping methods, or high return SKUs.
- Support negotiations and initiatives to improve net contribution margins.
5. Inventory Health & Availability
- Monitor stock‑out rates, inventory turnover, and aging stock across marketplaces.
- Work closely with supply chain and planning teams to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Flag risks related to excess inventory or potential stock‑outs proactively.
6. Buy Box & Seller Performance
- Track and improve Buy Box win percentage on applicable marketplaces.
- Ensure pricing, availability, fulfillment, and seller metrics are aligned to Buy Box requirements.
- Coordinate with operations to address service‑level or performance gaps impacting seller scores.
7. Traffic Growth & Campaign Effectiveness
- Partner with the marketing team to track traffic growth, campaign performance, and ROI.
- Monitor key metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, and sales uplift during campaigns.
- Share insights and recommendations for future promotional and campaign strategies.
Key KPIs (Outcome‑Based)
- MoM and YTD revenue growth (%)
- Number of marketplaces onboarded
- Category‑wise sales and margin performance
- Reduction in logistics, return, and platform costs
- Stock‑out rate, inventory turnover ratio, aging inventory
- Buy Box win percentage
- Traffic growth, conversion rates, and campaign ROI
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical / Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of e‑commerce marketplaces and performance metrics
- Data analysis using Excel / dashboards / marketplace reports
- Knowledge of inventory, logistics, and fulfillment KPIs
- Basic understanding of digital marketing metrics and campaign tracking
Behavioural Skills
- High analytical orientation with attention to detail
- Strong cross‑functional coordination能力

- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, or related field
- 2–6 years of experience in E‑commerce, marketplace operations, or digital sales
- Experience working with platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, etc. (preferred)
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. Occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
