With a strong focus on delivering seamless and memorable travel experiences, we have become a trusted choice for holiday packages among Indian travelers.
Complementing this is our Holiday Experts (HE) business, a pan-India network of 2000+ trained experts who work closely with customers to craft personalized itineraries and ensure end-to-end support. This unique blend of digital convenience and human expertise allows us to deliver holidays that are not only well-planned but also deeply personal and memorable.
Together, the Holidays team and Holiday Experts ecosystem form the backbone of MakeMyTrip's leisure travel business, committed to redefining the way Indians explore the world.
About the Role
The incumbent will be responsible for driving Go-to-Market initiatives, business analytics, and sales excellence for the Holiday Experts business.
The role will involve identifying growth opportunities, improving sales performance through data-led insights, strengthening business processes, and driving the execution of key strategic initiatives. The person will work closely with Cluster Leads and cross-functional stakeholders to improve business KPIs, enhance customer experience, and enable sustainable growth.
What Will You Be Doing
1. CRM Integration and Adoption
- Act as the Single Point of Contact for the integration and implementation of the new CRM across the Holiday Experts network.
- Identify and define relevant business use cases to improve lead management, customer engagement, and sales productivity.
- Drive CRM adoption across teams and establish mechanisms to track usage and effectiveness.
- Leverage CRM capabilities to strengthen customer retention and generate higher repeat business.
2. Sales Excellence and Performance Management
- Drive sales performance across clusters in collaboration with Cluster Leads.
- Track sales targets, conversion metrics, productivity, and other key business indicators.
- Identify performance gaps and recommend actionable interventions to improve business outcomes.
- Create structured reviews and performance dashboards to enable timely and data-driven decision-making.
3. New Business Initiative Implementation
- Lead the implementation of flight-booking sales for customers purchasing land-only holiday packages.
- Define the operating model, process requirements, and performance metrics for the initiative.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure smooth execution and adoption across the Holiday Experts network.
4. Partnership Business Management
- Drive the fulfilment of holiday package requirements received through business partnerships.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of partner requirements.
- Track business performance, service levels, and customer experience across partnership-led transactions.
- Identify opportunities to improve the scale and efficiency of the partnership business.
5. Business Analytics and Process Improvement
- Analyse business data to identify trends, growth opportunities, and areas requiring intervention.
- Break down complex business problems, identify root causes, and develop practical recommendations.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Prepare business reports, performance updates, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
6. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Supply, Finance, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate with functional SPOCs to ensure timely execution of business initiatives.
- Track dependencies, resolve execution bottlenecks, and ensure closure of agreed action items.
Qualification and Experience
- Postgraduate degree from a reputed institute.
- 4–8 years of experience in Go-to-Market strategy, business analytics, sales excellence, business planning, or related areas.
- Experience in managing cross-functional projects and driving large-scale business initiatives.
- Exposure to international markets or the travel and hospitality industry will be preferred.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
