Implement HSE policies and procedures in line with corporate and legal standards.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the CFS premises.
Identify hazards, investigate near-misses/incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor the usage and condition of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance among all employees, contractors, and visitors.
Coordinate fire safety, emergency preparedness, and evacuation drills.
Train staff and contractors on HSE practices, including toolbox talks and induction programs.
Ensure documentation and reporting of all incidents, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
Maintain records for statutory compliances (e.g., Factories Act, Environment Protection Act).
Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies for audits, inspections, and clearances.
Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives and environmental controls such as waste management, pollution control, and energy conservation.
Promote employee awareness programs to foster a proactive HSE culture at all levels.
Qualification and prefered qualification :
Strong knowledge of HSE laws, standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001), and best practices.
Ability to conduct audits, investigations, and training sessions.
Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective safety awareness.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Leadership in influencing behaviour and safety compliance.
Diploma in Industrial Safety (Mandatory).
NEBOSH / IOSH certification (preferred).
ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 internal auditor certification (added advantage).
Bachelor's degree in science/engineering/Environment or a related discipline.
