Job Description
Responsible for different aspects of engineering activities to provide differentiated services and solutions. These may also include product evaluation, solution designing and testing and roll out plan for existing and new services, including design of tools needed for operation of these new services and systems. This is an operational role, responsible for delivering results that have direct impact on day-to-day engineering operations in the respective areas of Network/SDWAN/Cloud & security/Unified Collaboration/Mobility & IoT.
Responsibilities
Systems engineering for front-end processors, cloud infrastructure, multiplexes, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, and switches.
Ensure timely rollout of system enhancements, migration, deployment, and optimization projects.
Involved in planning, architecture designing, developing, and testing solutions and service products riding on network or across multiple network layers.
Involved in the development of systems including storage, load balancers, servers, and routers/switches.
Manage physical connectivity, hardware & automation tools.
Resolve issues based on escalations from the end user.
Perform integration with existing systems and conduct service validation prior to hand over to Service Operations team.
Direct the assurance team in adopting measures for fault rate & ticket rate reduction.
Ensure engineering Projects completed within target dates within budget and agreed scope.
Performance tuning and automation of application.
Desired Skill Sets
Candidate should have 1 to 3 years of working experience in Network domain
Should have good knowledge in routing, switching, Layer 3 & 2 VPN, MPLS, Multicast, QOS and encryption technologies.
Should have good knowledge in IT systems, fault & performance management tools used in Network Domain
Should have knowledge in Cloud service provider domain, like Azure, AWS, GCP etc. their architecture, routing design and so on.
Good to have knowledge in network automation using Ansible and other platforms.
Good to have knowledge in Virtualization platforms like EXSI, KVM etc, also virtualization platform orchestrators like Open stack and others.
Good to have knowledge in scripting languages like Python, XML, YAML etc.
Candidate should be open minded, willing to learn any new technology and take up projects in those new technologies.
