Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, Software Asset Management
As a software asset management resource, you will be responsible for overseeing software requisitions, contract reviews, monitoring, tax allocations, maintenance and renewals, retirements, license-related issues, re-harvesting, and compliance. Your expertise will ensure that our software assets are utilized efficiently and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The role will work across a variety of categories so will need to demonstrate a broad range of Indirect category knowledge and be able to work dynamically and flexibly with a broad range of SMEs (Subject Matter Guides)
You will work with a variety of business partners within the Client retained organization, spanning business operations, procurement and supply chain managers, this will require proactive engagement by the role holder to understand business requirements and ensure a conclusive sourcing strategy is quickly established and delivered to within the agreed contractual SLAs and critical metrics.
Lastly, the role holder will be required to demonstrate professional and concise written and verbal communications in the required Country Language (English) and have the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of partners across the Client organization.
Responsibilities
.Handle software requisitions and conduct thorough contract reviews
.Monitor software usage and manage tax allocations
.Oversee software maintenance, renewals, and retirements
.Address license-related issues and facilitate software re-harvesting
.Ensure compliance with software asset management and IT asset management standards
.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve asset management issues
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
.Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field
.Six to eight years of experience in software asset management and IT asset management
.Strong understanding of software requisition processes, contract reviews, and compliance
.Experience in managing software monitoring, tax allocations, maintenance/renewal, retirements, and license-related issues
.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
.Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
