Assistant Manager – General Ledger & Financial Compliance

Location: Mumbai or Bangalore

Conneqt Digital is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to oversee general ledger accounting and ensure financial compliance. This role is perfect for professionals with strong expertise in accounting standards, financial reporting, and taxation who are ready to make a significant impact.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate statutory accounting records, including journals, ledgers, cash books, and investment registers.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Assess weekly fund collections, perform aging analysis, and provide inputs for invoice generation as per contract services.
• Prepare and analyze monthly cash flow statements to support operational and investment decisions.
• Finalize accounts and ensure timely audits with complete schedules and tax computations.
• Ensure compliance with taxation regulations, including Income Tax, TDS, and EPF, by filing returns, statements, and remitting taxes on time.
• Develop tax plans and handle statutory dues like TDS, Income Tax, and statutory return filing.
• Support statutory audits, E-filing of Income Tax returns, and issuance of Form-16 and 16A.
• Monitor and adapt to changes in tax regulations, updating company policies as required.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and auditing standards in financial statement preparation.
• Recommend investments in Retiral Trust while adhering to EPFO's investment compliance regulations.

Qualifications

• Educational: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in preparing financial statements and handling statutory audits.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in tax planning, TDS, EPF, and filing statutory returns.
• Excellent skills in financial analysis, cash flow management, and credit control.
• Familiarity with investment compliance patterns regulated by EPFO.
