The Role

The Assistant Manager is the captain of the store during their shift. When you're on the floor, the store is yours — every order picked on time, every shelf stocked and fresh, every rider dispatched fast, every team member present and productive. You report to the Store's Manager, run a team of pickers, inventory staff and rider coordinators, and are the reason the customer gets their order fresh and in minutes. Perform here, and the path to Store Manager and beyond is direct and fast.

What You Will Own

Shift Operations & Speed

• Run the shift end to end — order-to-handover within SLAs on every order, rider dispatch without delays, and instant escalation and recovery when surges, app issues or stockouts hit
• Plan the floor for your shift: picker deployment by zone, break rotations, and peak-hour readiness based on the day's order forecast

Freshness & Inventory

• Own goods receiving on your shift — on-time receipt, QC and grading checks at the door, and fast put-away with correct slotting.
• Execute FEFO rotation, scheduled quality culls, dump/markdown logging with reasons, and cycle counts — keeping inventory accuracy high and wastage low.
• Keep shelves full and displays fresh through the shift — trigger in-day replenishment before top SKUs run out.

Team & Discipline

• Lead the shift team — attendance, grooming and hygiene standards, task allocation, on-the-job training of new joiners, and shift handover notes that leave nothing to memory.
• Maintain a safe, clean, audit-ready store — FSSAI-aligned hygiene checklists, equipment upkeep, and zero-tolerance safety compliance.

Reporting & Improvement

• Close every shift with the numbers: orders, SLA hits/misses, wastage, stock gaps, manpower — reported honestly with root causes, not excuses.
• Flag broken processes and suggest fixes — the best shift-floor ideas get piloted across the network

What You Bring

• Experience: 1–3 years in quick commerce, e-grocery, food delivery, QSR, retail or warehouse operations — shift or floor supervision preferred; strong freshers with internship hustle are welcome too.
• Ownership: You don't wait for instructions when an order is stuck or a shelf is empty — you fix it, then report it.
• Team handling: Comfortable leading 8–15 frontline teammates with fairness and firmness — and rolling up your sleeves to pick orders when the surge demands it.
• Basics: Graduate; comfortable with store apps, dashboards and basic Excel; fluent in Hindi, working english.
• Flexibility: Willing to work rotational shifts, weekends and festival peaks — that's when quick commerce matters most.
