Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a finance professional to support accounting, reconciliation, audit, and regulatory reporting activities. The role involves managing month-end close processes, performing loan and deposit reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in the banking, NBFC, or financial services industry, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and a keen eye for detail.

What you will do

• Support month-end closure activities, post journal entries in accounting software and perform reasonableness checks on Trial Balance (TB) accounts; highlight and resolve unusual balances or movements
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for data requirements.
• Perform end-to-end loan and deposit reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audit assignments.
• Provide accurate data and supporting schedules for regulatory returns
• Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, recommending automation opportunities, and contributing to SOP development.

What you will need

• CA with 1-2 years of experience
• Strong grounding in accounting and high attention to detail
• Prior experience in NBFC, banking, or financial services organizations is preferred
• Exposure to loan management systems (LMS), core banking systems, or ERP platforms (Oracle, SAP) is desirable
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applicable to NBFCs / banks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
