Job Description
The FP&A Assistant Manager supports the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes to ensure accurate financial insights for strategic decision-making. This role acts as a bridge between finance and business units, providing actionable recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Collaborate with business units to gather inputs and validate assumptions
- Monitor variances between actuals and forecasts and provide explanations
Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial performance, trends, and key metrics
- Prepare variance analysis reports for management
- Identify risks and opportunities impacting financial results
Reporting
- Develop and maintain management reports, dashboards, and KPIs
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Support preparation of presentations for senior leadership
Data Management & Tools
- Maintain financial models and ensure data integrity
- Work with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI)
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies
- Support audits and regulatory reporting as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- CA with 3 4 years of experience
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
- Prior experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling
- Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools
- Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
