Job Description

The FP&A Assistant Manager supports the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis processes to ensure accurate financial insights for strategic decision-making. This role acts as a bridge between finance and business units, providing actionable recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts
  • Collaborate with business units to gather inputs and validate assumptions
  • Monitor variances between actuals and forecasts and provide explanations

Financial Analysis

  • Analyze financial performance, trends, and key metrics
  • Prepare variance analysis reports for management
  • Identify risks and opportunities impacting financial results

Reporting

  • Develop and maintain management reports, dashboards, and KPIs
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Support preparation of presentations for senior leadership

Data Management & Tools

  • Maintain financial models and ensure data integrity
  • Work with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI)

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies
  • Support audits and regulatory reporting as needed

Qualifications & Skills

  • CA with 3 4 years of experience
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Prior experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling
  • Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools
  • Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
