1: Job Purpose Statement (Summarize in one/two statements why this job exists, and the contribution makes to the overall business of the company).

To ensure accurate accounting and timely reconciliation of receivables by managing credit/debit notes, monthly financial closing activities, ageing analysis, and stakeholder reporting. The role will also support dispute resolution with customers and internal teams while driving process improvements in receivables management.

  • Manage the preparation, posting, and reconciliation of debit/credit notes.
  • Perform monthly closing activities including provisions, MIS reporting, and finalization of the sales register.
  • Prepare ageing analysis of receivables and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to credit/debit notes, invoicing, and customer payments.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve receivable disputes.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on receivable status and performance metrics.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in receivable management.
  • Responsible for sales performance tracking, variance analysis, and end-to-end management of customer incentive programs including validation and payout governance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (B.Com / M.Com).
  • MBA/PGDM in Finance (preferred).

Analytical and detail-oriented.

Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams.

Effective communication and stakeholder management.

Proactive and improvement-oriented mindset.

Work Experience

Functional

36 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance, or related functions.

Experience in managing monthly financial closing, reconciliations, and customer accounts.

Exposure to working with cross-functional teams and process improvements.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and receivable management.

Hands-on experience in debit/credit note working, reconciliations, and ageing analysis.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Excel (advanced).

Knowledge of provisions, MIS reporting, and monthly closing.
