The Assistant Manager, Finance is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of full sets of accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Review accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis, dashboards, and executive presentations for Senior Management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial planning activities.
- Analyse sales, gross profit, operating expenses, and business performance, providing actionable recommendations to improve profitability.
- Support the Finance Manager in business planning, financial strategy, and decision-making.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities to ensure statutory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
- Professional certification such as ACCA (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant working experience
- Proven experience in handling full-set accounts independently.
- Good understanding and application of MFRS 16 (Leases).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
