Job Overview:
The Assistant Manager, Procurement Officer will be responsible for implementing and adhering to the organization's procurement procedures and financial policies. We're looking for a disciplined team member who can contribute towards keeping United Way Mumbai compliant with best industry practices, financial regulations and legislation.
Job Responsibilities:
- To receive the requests for quotations, and comparative quotes and perform competitive analysis
- To check and verify the records of the prospective vendors for identity details and compliances
- Perform qualitative, comparisons and evaluate the recommendations for approvals
- Assist in negotiation discussions Prepare the work orders, purchase orders, or agreements with vendors as per the internal procurement processes
- Upkeep and maintain record database for the vendor empanelment for the organisation
- Coordination for internal audits/ donor audits within the organization
- Assist in the preparation of data required for the statutory audit
- Coordinate and ensure adherence to the internal finance policies and guidelines
Profile Requisites:
- Commerce Graduate/ Post Graduate in Finance/Business Administration
- Minimum experience of 5 years in the field of procurement Proficient knowledge of Income Tax provisions, statutory & regulatory requirements, tax laws applicability for Trusts
- Strong communication skills to be able to connect and coordinate with the vendors and the internal teams, negotiation skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office particularly Excel, word is mandatory
- Attention to detail
- Analytical and strategic thinking
- Experience with the social sector would be an advantage
Remuneration: Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit; the salary range is INR 6 LPA to 8.50 LPA
