Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Manager – Finance who will be responsible for financial analysis, cash flow management, working capital planning, and business forecasting. The role requires strong expertise in advanced Excel and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities

 Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process, including financial forecasting and variance analysis.
• Monitor and analyse actual vs. budgeted performance; provide actionable insights and recommendations.

Internal Controls

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to ensure financial integrity and safeguard assets.
• Conduct regular audits to evaluate control effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Cash Flow Management

• Oversee cash flow planning to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
• Optimise working capital through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory.

Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with statutory and tax regulations; ensure timely tax filings.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as needed.

Financial Analysis

• Provide analytical support for strategic decisions and business planning.
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results with forecasts and budgets.

Team Management

• Lead and mentor the plant finance team, promoting professional development and accountability.
• Assign responsibilities, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations.

Systems & Processes

• Oversee the use and enhancement of financial systems and software to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure accurate documentation and secure storage of financial records.

Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate financial risks using appropriate risk management strategies.
• Advise senior management on financial risks and opportunities.

• Proficiency in ERP and financial systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)

Qualifications

• CA / MBA Finance with relevant experience
• 2–4 years of experience in finance, preferably in business finance or FP&A

Preferred Experience

• Experience in startups / high-growth companies
