Job Description

About The Role

The Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting

operations, ensuring statutory compliance, supporting audits, and assisting in financial reporting and

analysis to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities/What You Will Do

  • Accounting & Closing:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities including GL accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet schedules and ledger scrutiny.
  • Statutory & Taxation Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations.
  • Ensure timely filing of TDS returns and coordination for assessments/notices.
  • Audit & Controls:
  • Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors and resolve audit queries.
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal control procedures.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and SOPs.
  • Accounts Payable / Receivable:
  • Oversee vendor payments, ageing analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor customer receivables, credit control, and follow-ups.
  • Review debit/credit notes and ensure proper accounting treatment.
  • MIS & Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Provide financial data and insights into management as required.
  • Maintain FAR Register.
  • Team Coordination:
  • Guide and review work of junior accountants/executives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Sales, HR, and Logistics.

Qualifications & Skills/What You Need

  • Education: B. Com / M. Com (CA Inter preferred)
  • Experience: 4–7 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance
  • Experience in FMCG / B2B Business / Q-commerce (preferred, optional).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance
  • Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, Branch accounting, and audit handling
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Tally/Odoo) and MS Excel
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
